You do not have to decide which pathway may be best for you. Following registration into the program, you will receive support in determining which approach is best suited for your tourism business, depending on your current sustainability maturity, capacity, resources and business goals.
Option 1: Ecotourism Australia Strive 4 Sustainability Scorecard
About: This is a pathway program for any tourism business at the beginning of its sustainability journey. Businesses track their operations against 50 criteria relating to Sustainable Management, Environmental Impacts, Soci-economic Impacts and Cultural Impacts. The scorecard is not a certification or accreditation, but a benchmark against which your business can strive for sustainability. At the end of 12 months, businesses are encouraged to keep striving for sustainability and aim for a higher score in their next scorecard assessment.
Costs and funding: $250+GST. Business Boost will cover the full cost of a business’ first scorecard, which remains valid for 12 months.
Ongoing costs: $250+GST, payable by a business to have a scorecard reissued annually.
